The Lost Trees Podcast

As part of our project to to explore, map and share information about fruit trees in Stalybridge in Tameside, we made a podcast to document The Lost Trees Walk, a route which takes in a selection of the wonderful fruit trees to be found growing in Stalybridge.

With contributions from people who have planted, cared for, harvested and studied these trees, we encounter a diversity of fruit trees growing in and around the town and learn how their fruit can be used, their ecological and heritage value and we take in some local history as we discuss the origins and stories of these trees and the places where they grow along the way.

Listen to the Lost Trees Podcast and discover some of the Stalybridge’s bountiful fruit trees as we follow the Lost Trees Walk route
