Get Involved
There are a few ways to get involved with Operation Farm:
Hyde Park Community Allotment
Operation Farm runs a community plot in Hyde where we grow veg to share and use in community cooking. Our allotment sessions take place weekly – for more info please email operationfarm@gmail.com
Hyde Park Community Orchard
Operation Farm oversaw large-scale improvements to the orchard in 2011-2012, you can read all about it here.
From time to time we run orchard related events and training such as pruning workshops – sign up to the mailing list for more information.
Our allotment volunteers also get involved in orchard maintenance – see above for how to find out more about that.
Keep in touch!
We run various events and activities through the year in different locations – to keep up to date on what’s coming up join our mailing list

In the past I have taken the apples from my trees to my local community centre horticultural show. This year they weren’t ripe enough in time for the show. I am now inundated and due to problems climbing unable to get those towards the top of the trees. I understand that you will come out, pick and juice for a fee/donation.
I live in Mossley (Hey Farm) and would be grateful if you could help out.
Also, a neighbour whose garden is on another avenue but three tree doesn’t get picked would probably be pleased to get your services. I haven’t asked, but a knock on the door wouldn’t harm.
Thanks
Diana
