BOOK NOW: free jam and preserves workshop
Operation Farm have last minute availability on their free preserves making session for Tameside residents. The event is running on Thursday 26th September, 6-9pm, at New Charter Newton Neighbourhood Centre, 35 Acresfield Road, Newton, Hyde SK14 4HB.
A fun and practical session to:
• Discuss the history and ways to preserve fruit and try samples – e.g. dehydrated fruit, cordials, bottled/pickled fruit and jams, butters and cheeses
• Prepare a blackberry and elderflower cordial to take home
• Make a plum jam to take home
• Share your preserving experiences and questions and swap tips as well as cover food safety and preserving as well
No skills or experience necessary!
